I used to work for this guy when I was in the Windows division way back when.  Well... sort of.  I'd file bugs against the OS and if they were considered important enough when we were near ship date, I'd get called into a meeting of the big guns to "defend" my bug - to see if it would eventually get fixed or not.  Iain was a part of this meeting, and was... um... intense to say the least.
