The End of E3? Somehow I doubt it...

Everyone across the geekosphere is shouting about this article which reports the end of E3.  "The ESA will today seek to salvage some good from the wreckage of E3; but the spectacle that has held the industry in thrall for 12 years is at an end."

Reaction is everywhere, from Major Nelson (The story looks legit, so we’ll have to see how this plays out once the new week kicks in tomorrow) to Ars Technica. (Contrary to reports across the web, E3 has not been cancelled.)

I personally have no isnight into this - I've never been to one and have no inside information.  However, while the show may change, I seriously doubt that it is "at an end."

I sure hope it isn't, anyway.  I don't want it to shut down until I've been to one...
